Volunteer Interpreter role England
Volunteer Interpreter Role
The Mentor Ring is a community-based charity supporting individuals through mentoring and guiding people of all ages and backgrounds, helping them to overcome significant barriers to social inclusion. We believe that no individual should be excluded from active participation in employment, training, education, community life or social activities because of cultural, language, physical, mental or emotional health issues.
The Mentor Ring’s mission is to empower individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds to overcome barriers and reach their full potential. Through tailored mentoring, workshops, skill-building, and community events, we support education, employment, health, and social inclusion, fostering resilience, self-confidence, and integration. Our work creates lasting positive change across communities in Wales and England.
The Volunteer Interpreter role is to bridge language gaps, enabling effective communication or other languages in between non-English speaking individuals and the organisation’s staff and volunteers. This role is essential in ensuring inclusivity, equity, and accessibility for all members of the community, regardless of their language proficiency. By fulfilling these objectives, a volunteer interpreter role play a critical part in making the services more accessible and effective for non-English speaking individuals. Their work not only facilitates immediate communication but also promotes long-term engagement and trust within the local community.
Commitment to Veterans:
