St George’s Day 2024
St. George’s Day, celebrated on April 23rd, is a day to honour his memory and the ideals he represents. According to tradition, he was a Roman soldier of Greek origin who lived in the 3rd century AD and served in the Roman army. The most famous legend associated with St. George is his slaying of a dragon to rescue a princess, symbolizing his triumph of good over evil. He is widely celebrated as the patron saint of England.
