Volunteer Group Facilitator role England

Volunteer Group Facilitator

The Mentor Ring is a community-based charity supporting individuals through mentoring and guiding people of all ages and backgrounds, helping them to overcome significant barriers to social inclusion. We believe that no individual should be excluded from active participation in employment, training, education, community life or social activities because of cultural, language, physical, mental or emotional health issues.

The Mentor Ring’s mission is to empower individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds to overcome barriers and reach their full potential. Through tailored mentoring, workshops, skill-building, and community events, we support education, employment, health, and social inclusion, fostering resilience, self-confidence, and integration. Our work creates lasting positive change across communities in Wales and England.

The purpose of this role is to assist in facilitating activities or support groups throughout the year. We organise events to educate and bring the community together. You will organise and facilitate weekly group meetings to discuss development ideas and to look at up-coming events and possible pressure points which their participants might be facing. This is likely to include any external training, workshops, community events, work experience placements, job applications etc.

Commitment to Veterans:

The Mentor Ring recognises, values and appreciates the skills and abilities of our UK Armed Forces Veterans and understands their diverse experiences and culture. Veterans are encouraged to apply about all of our volunteer roles and opportunities.
