Celebrating International Yoga Day event  is taking place in Bexleyheath, England on 21st June 2026, at Danson Park, Danson Road, DA6 8HL, 5.00 pm – 6.00pm.

Join our community session to stretch, breathe, and find your inner balance. We invite you to step away from the busy week and reconnect with yourself. Yoga is more than just exercise—it is a guide to a calm mind and a healthy body. Whether you are a beginner or practice regularly, come share a peaceful afternoon of wellness and community with us.

Session led by Sujatha Thaladi. 

Please bring your yoga mat as it will be outdoors. Cost:  £5 per person for this event.

Sessions were launched on Friday 30th January 2026 at Cyncoed Methodist Church, Cyncoed Road, Cardiff, CF23 6SE. The next session of the Bollywood & creative dance workshop will begin next week on Friday, 17th July 2026, 7pm – 8pm. This would be the last dance workshop before we pause for summer break.

Bollywood dance workshop was introduced during South Asian Heritage Month was met with overwhelming enthusiasm and participation. Following its success, we are running  these vibrant sessions on a regular basis—every other Friday at Cyncoed Methodist Church, Cyncoed Road, Cardiff.

The workshops have attracted interest from a wonderfully diverse group of participants, including members of the South Asian community as well as people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. This strong cross-cultural engagement reflects the inclusive and universal appeal of Bollywood dance.

Bollywood dance is a dynamic and expressive art form that combines high-energy movement with storytelling. These creative sessions celebrate individuality and joy, offering a welcoming space where participants can express themselves and experience vibrant cultural traditions.

Volunteers’ Week Celebration Event

This Volunteers Week 2026 Celebrations took place on Tuesday, 2nd June 2026 10:30 am – 11:30 am, at the TMR Office (2nd Floor), Butetown Community Centre, Butetown, Cardiff, CF10 5JA.

Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do, helping to create welcoming spaces and strengthen community connections across South Wales. We are truly grateful for their commitment and the positive difference they make every day.

South Asian Heritage Month (SAHM) is a vibrant annual commemoration held from July 1st to 31st July 2026, dedicated to celebrating the diverse cultures, histories, and profound contributions of people with roots in South Asia. By centring the celebration on these dates, SAHM provides a dedicated space to commemorate the past while celebrating the modern-day South Asian identity that is so integral to the fabric of British society.

The 2026 theme, “Unity in Diversity,” highlights the incredible tapestry of experiences within the South Asian diaspora, which encompasses eight distinct countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. This theme emphasises that while each nation and community possesses its own unique languages, religious traditions, and cultural customs, there is a shared thread of resilience and collective history that binds them together. In places like Cardiff, this unity is visible through the collaborative efforts of community members who work together to foster inclusion and ensure that the voices of all South Asian backgrounds are heard and valued.

Beyond celebration, South Asian Heritage Month serves as a vital educational platform designed to reclaim narratives and honour the “enduring legacy” of South Asian communities. It offers an opportunity for the public to engage with the stories of the “Windrush generation” of South Asia, the vital role of South Asian professionals in the NHS, and the entrepreneurs who have transformed local economies. Through events like the launch in Rhiwbina, the month encourages meaningful dialogue and cross-cultural understanding, ensuring that the rich histories and ongoing achievements of South Asian individuals continue to inspire future generations.

The Mentor Ring Services in England Supporting Individuals & Strengthening Communities

We were thrilled to highlight The Mentor Ring’s official expansion of services into England!

We held a special afternoon with The Mentor Ring (TMR) England, where community, connection, and opportunity came together. It was a fantastic opportunity for attendees to meet our dedicated team, learn more about our inspiring mentoring programmes, and discover how we can work together to foster inclusion, resilience, and positive change.

We were delighted to connect with everyone who joined us to explore how TMR is supporting and empowering individuals and families across England. Light refreshments were provided throughout the session.

International Women’s Day Celebration – 14th March

Join us on 14th March as we proudly commemorate International Women’s Day with a dynamic and inspiring event celebrating the resilience, accomplishments, and talents of women in our community.

The program will present engaging dance performances, a melodious singing act, and an expressive poetry recitation, all reflecting creativity, passion, and collaboration.
