Volunteer Group Facilitator
Purpose of the role:
The purpose of this role is to support and facilitate activities and peer support groups throughout the year as part of TMR’s project. The facilitator will organise and lead regular group meetings and peer participation sessions, working with a few participants at any one time. They will be responsible for providing training, practical advice, and ongoing guidance, helping participants to develop ideas and build confidence. Weekly meetings will focus on planning upcoming activities, discussing external opportunities such as training, workshops, community events, work experience placements, and job applications, and identifying any potential challenges or pressure points participants may be experiencing.

What will you be doing?
- Setting up tables and chairs in the coffee morning sessions
- Organising and setting out the tea, coffee, biscuits, cups and plates on the serving table
- Cleaning/tidying up after the session
- Enabling the smooth running of session
- Liaise with the project lead to organise speakers and specialist advisors.
- Within TMR’s project, there are group meetings and peer participation groups.
- The facilitator will be responsible for providing training, advice and on-going guidance to the participants.
- The facilitator will work with team of up to 10 participants (1:10 as a maximum ratio).
Experience:
- Good communication skills.
- Good people skills.
- Experience of working with ethnic minority communities would be an advantage.
- The ability to be flexible with time.
How we will support you?
- Volunteers are given an induction upon beginning their role.
- Full training is given for this role
- Expenses are fully reimbursed on a monthly basis.
- DBS checked
Time and Place:
- Monday – Friday (Flexible).
- 2 hours per week.
- Hours to suit volunteer.
- Remote / Office / At a venue.
