England Projects: Sewing Classes 2026
Sewing classes were launched in Erith in January 2026 with support from The National Lottery Community Fund and have now moved to a new venue at The Exchange (The Old Library), Walnut Tree Road, Erith, DA8 1RA, 2nd Floor, (Learning Room).
The next Sewing Class session will take place next Friday, 23rd October 2026, running from 10.00 am – 12.00 pm.
The project was created to help participants develop practical sewing skills, build confidence, and enjoy a friendly, welcoming environment where community members can learn and connect. Since the programme began, sessions have been well attended, with participants showing clear progress, growing enthusiasm, and increasing creativity.
Funding made it possible to purchase essential equipment and materials, ensuring the classes remain accessible and inclusive for everyone. Overall, the initiative has made a positive difference to those involved and has played an important role in strengthening community engagement.
