We are proud to announce our celebration of South Asian Heritage Month event in Dartford, England, taking place on Friday 25th July 2025 evening, 6pm – 8.30pm at Temple Hill Community Centre, Temple Hill Square Dartford,England DA1 5HY. This year’s theme is ‘Roots to Routes’: honouring our roots and embracing our routes.
South Asian Heritage Month, a time to honour the diverse histories, vibrant cultures, and remarkable contributions of South Asian communities. This annual observance, running from mid-July to mid-August, provides a unique opportunity to reflect on the shared experiences and rich legacies of people with roots in countries such as India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, and the Maldives.
Our event will bring together voices from across the South Asian diaspora through music, storytelling, art, and food—highlighting the enduring influence of South Asian traditions in contemporary life. It will also be a platform to spotlight the creativity and resilience of South Asian individuals and communities who continue to shape the cultural and social landscape in the UK and beyond.
In addition to the celebrations, we are committed to creating space for education and dialogue. Through workshops, panel discussions, and heritage showcases, attendees will have the chance to explore important themes such as identity, migration, generational experiences, and intersectionality within the South Asian context.
We invite everyone—regardless of background—to join us in celebrating this vibrant month. Whether you’re reconnecting with your heritage or learning something new, South Asian Heritage Month is a time to come together in recognition, respect, and unity.
