  • Avoid engaging in any form of online harassment, discrimination, or offensive behaviour.

Confidentiality:

  • Refrain from sharing sensitive information, including personal details of beneficiaries, without explicit consent.
  • No photos or personal data of service users to be posted without documented written consent.
  • No storing login details in unsecured formats.
  • Any breaches must be reported via the Data Protection Officer.

Accuracy and Transparency:

  • Ensure that all information shared on social media platforms is accurate and reflects the values and goals of The Mentor Ring.
  • Clearly distinguish personal opinions from official organisational statements.

Intellectual Property:

Content Approval:

  • Clearly communicate the chain of command for content approval.

  • Regularly monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions related to The Mentor Ring.

This policy applies to all staff, volunteers, trustees, contractors, and any individuals representing or affiliated with The Mentor Ring. It applies to both official and personal social media use where the organisation may be identifiable.
