Volunteer Group Facilitator role,

 Purpose of this role:

The purpose of this role is to support and facilitate activities and peer support groups throughout the year as part of TMR’s project. The facilitator will organise and lead regular group meetings and peer participation sessions, working with a number of participants. They will be responsible for providing training, practical advice, and ongoing guidance, helping participants to develop ideas and build confidence. Weekly meetings will focus on planning upcoming activities, discussing external opportunities such as training, workshops, community events, work experience placements, and job applications, and identifying any potential challenges or pressure points participants may be experiencing.

What will you be doing?

      • Setting up tables and chairs in the coffee morning sessions
      • Organising and setting out the tea, coffee, biscuits, cups and plates on the serving table
      • The facilitator will work with team of up to 10 participants (1:10 as a maximum ratio).
      • Liaise with the project lead to organise speakers and specialist advisors.

Experience:

    • Good communication skills.
    • Good people skills.
    • Experience of working with ethnic minority communities would be an advantage.
    • Organised  and Self- Motivated
    • The ability to be flexible with time. 

How we will support you?

  • Full training is given for this role.
  • Expenses are fully reimbursed on a monthly basis.
  • Volunteers are given an induction upon beginning their role.
  • DBS Check required.

Time and Place:

  • Monday – Friday (Flexible).
  •  Flexible 2 hours per week.
  • Hours to suit volunteer
  • Remote / office
  • TMR Office, 2nd floor, Butetown Community Centre, Butetown, Cardiff CF10 5JA
