The Mentor Ring was involved in helping to distribute packets of ready to serve rice. The packets were free to members of the local community, participants of The Mentor Ring’s Healthy Eating group and volunteers of the charity. There were three flavours to choose from; Long Grain & Wild Rice, Whole Grain Brown Rice and Roasted Chicken flavour. The chart on the back of the packet informs the consumer of how many calories are in each serving, as well as other vital nutritional information. And with the packet being microwavable in only 90 seconds, it can be a quick and healthy meal accompaniment. The flavours may encourage individuals to try out new foods and be a little more adventurous with their own cooking.
