Sewing Workshop Classes in Erith, England
The Sewing classes were launched in Erith in January 2026 with support from The National Lottery Community Fund and have now moved to a new venue at Slade Green & Howbury Community Centre and Library, running from 10:00am–12:00pm.
The project was created to help participants develop practical sewing skills, build confidence, and enjoy a friendly, welcoming environment where community members can learn and connect. Since the programme began, sessions have been well attended, with participants showing clear progress, growing enthusiasm, and increasing creativity.
Funding made it possible to purchase essential equipment and materials, ensuring the classes remain accessible and inclusive for everyone. Overall, the initiative has made a positive difference to those involved and has played an important role in strengthening community engagement.
