The Sewing classes have taken place every Friday morning, at Slade Green & Howbury Community Centre & Library, Chrome Rd, Erith, DA8 2EL 10:00 am -12pm. Our sewing classes are there to learn new skills, share ideas, and enjoy a creative and social experience. The sewing workshops are a great way to learn practical skills, boost confidence, and connect with others in the community. All abilities are welcome—just bring your enthusiasm and enjoy sewing together.

Studies have shown that that the art of sewing (and other needlework activities) can be found to have great therapeutic value. Sewing in a group setting allows for these women to make meaningful contact with others in a similar situation. It fosters interaction with peers in a safe environment and the opportunity to discuss shared experiences and difficulties.
